چکیده

Abstract Objectives SET Domain Containing Protein 8 (SET8), a member of the domain containing methyltransferase family involved in several biological processes and SET8 expression levels, reportedly affects outcomes patients with breast cancer, renal prostate carcinoma, oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma. However, there have been no relevant studies on biofunction use prediction laryngeal carcinoma (LSCC) outcomes. Methods In our study, levels were detected using immunohistochemical staining, western blotting, quantitative real-time RT-PCR (qRT-PCR) semi-quantitative analysis for cancer Additionally, we assessed influence behaviour cells vitro , counting kit-8, clone formation, wound healing, Transwell invasion assays. We subsequently performed qRT-PCR blotting an in-depth study SET8. Results Our showed marked upregulation tumour tissues lines. High predicts poor prognosis LSCC, its can be used as independent predictor LSCC outcome. Subsequent functional analyses indicated that knockdown exerted inhibitory effect proliferation, migration, invasiveness vitro. Conclusions may associated epithelial-mesenchymal transition. results demonstrate higher is unfavourable prognostic exerts tumour-promoting effects LSCC.

Cyclin D1 Expression in Patients with Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Background & Objective: Laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) is considered to be one of the most common cancers of the head and neck, accounting for roughly 90% of all malignant tumors of the larynx. To have a timely diagnosis for a better and practical therapy, molecular markers have to be investigated. The aim of this study was to determine the expression of Cyclin D1 (CD...

Reduced miR-300 expression predicts poor prognosis in patients with laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.

OBJECTIVE miR-300 has been demonstrated to play an important role in the progression of several tumors, but its role in tumorigenesis of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) is still unclear. The purpose of this study was to explore miR-300 expression in LSCC patients and analyze its association with clinicopathological factors and prognosis. PATIENTS AND METHODS In the present study, we ...

BMI1 promotes the progression of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.

BMI1 is highly expressed in several malignant tumors, and its expression level is associated with tumor progression, proliferation, and prognosis. However, no published studies have examined the role of BMI1 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Expression of BMI1 in primary tumors was analyzed by immunofluorescence staining, real-time PCR, and Western blotting. BMI1 was knocked down, and...

Increased RIPK4 expression is associated with progression and poor prognosis in cervical squamous cell carcinoma patients

Aberrant expression of receptor interacting protein kinase 4 (RIPK4), a crucial regulatory protein of Wnt/β-catenin signaling, has recently been reported to be involved in several cancers. Here, we report the potential clinical implication and biological functions of RIPK4 in cervical squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC). One hundred and ninety-eight CSCC cases, 109 low-grade squamous intraepithelial...

Down-regulation of β-arrestin2 promotes tumour invasion and indicates poor prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma

β-arrestins, including β-arrestin1 and β-arrestin2, are multifunctional adaptor proteins. β-arrestins have recently been found to play new roles in regulating intracellular signalling networks associated with malignant cell functions. Altered β-arrestin expression has been reported in many cancers, but its role in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is not clear. We therefore examined the roles of β...
